I tend to procrastinate and work on it at the last minute. I would start as soon as possible, but may run into problems occassionally. When that happens, I would seek help from others. How do you react when your boss asks you to do something that you know you can't complete on time? I would come up with reasons to present why I won't be able to complete the task. I would explain why I can't complete it on time, then politely decline doing it. I would accept the task, then analyze how to shorten the process to complete it on time. 3. When faced with unexpected changes at work, which of the following best describes your initial reaction? I would feel panicked and stressed out because I am unsure if this would completely disrupt my working style. I would feel uneasy and attempt to fit the changes to what I know to avoid unnecessary complications as much as possible. I would follow whatever new instructions that is passed down and try my best to adapt. I think change is inevitable, and I would embrace the change as an opportunity to learn and grow. 4. When you are communicating with others, which do you find yourself doing most often? I would sometimes interrupt their sentences or ignore what they are trying to say. I would try not to communicate with people unless it is necessary. Talking seems to be one of the biggest time wasters. I would try my best to engage in the conversation, but sometimes fail to understand the topic or context. I would take the time to listen and attempt to understand their perspective. 5. When you have a disagreement with someone, what is your approach to communicating your point of view? I would likely argue to defend my point of view. If they cannot accept my reasonings, I don't see a need to carry on the conversation. I would slowly convince and steer their thoughts to match my point of view to avoid any additional workload. If the proposed change would benefit the company, I am willing to accept and support their perspective after evaluating its potential impact. I would seek to understand their perspective and attempt to find a common ground for a resolution. I believe disagreements can be resolved if everyone plays their part. 6. When the company is looking for volunteers to go for a new course to learn about new technology, how would you react? I would remain silent as I believe that my job responsibilities do not necessitate any further training. I would suggest to my boss that other candidates may be better suited for the course, as I am currently swamped with work. I would wait and see if my boss selects me for the course, as I don't typically offer to participate voluntarily. I would eagerly offer to enroll in a new course to acquire fresh knowledge and skills. 7. How do you prefer to approach new situations or tasks at work? I would first rely on proven methods, but if they prove ineffective, there may not be much else I can do. I would attempt to enlist the assistance of a coworker for this new situation or task. I would follow the lead of others who have more experience. I would experiment with new approaches and ideas to improve the productivity or efficiency. 8. You came to the notice board and there is an announcement of a Job promotion. One of your colleague was promoted to a senior level despite joining the company later than you. How would you react? I would simply disregard the notice board as their promotion does not concern me. I would adjust my workload moving forward as I believe those in higher positions should take on more responsibilities. I would increase my efforts and strive for the promotion in the future. I would congratulate the colleague openly and reflect on my last performance to identify areas for improvement. 9. Your colleague has made some mistakes at work and is trying desperately to resolve the situation. He came to ask your help, how would you react? I would decline assisting as I am not the one responsible for the mistake at work. It's his responsibility to take ownership of it. I would politely decline by explaining that I have multiple tasks at hand that require my attention. Assisting him could potentially create issues for me if the problem is not resolved satisfactorily. I would try my best to assist him and offer my support in any way necessary. I would have a conversation with him, attempt to alleviate his distress, and find a solution. In doing so, I would create a plan and explore the resources available within the company to assist us. 10. When working on a team project, which of the following best describes your approach? I would solely focus on my assigned tasks and responsibilities. I believe that my current pay grade does not warrant taking on any additional tasks or responsibilities. I would solely focus on my assigned tasks even if I am aware that others are facing difficulties. It is essential for them to undergo this experience for their own learning and growth. I would take on additional tasks if needed to ensure the success of the project. I would proactively identify areas where I can help and offer my assistance. Time is Up! Time's up
